Why I built this site
I have written privately for as long as I have worked, and the writing has been more useful than the working. The notes I kept after every outage taught me more than the post-mortems. The notebooks I kept on road trips clarified things the conference talks could not.
This site is the public version of that practice. The unifying rule is: nothing here is shorter than it should be. If a piece can be a tweet, it is not on rootlogic. If it can be a paragraph in somebody else’s post, it is not on rootlogic. If you can find the same conclusion in a hundred other places, it is not on rootlogic.
How the site is built
The whole thing is a static site, generated from a small repo and deployed to Cloudflare Pages. Every piece is authored as a brief — a short markdown file with the intent, sources, key facts — and then an AI generator turns the brief into the final MDX, SVG, or interactive component. The generator does not push without me looking at it. The site has no analytics, no cookies, no tracking, and no third-party scripts.
What you will not find here
No “5 tips,” no “you might not know this,” no “ultimate guide,” no SEO content, no AI hype, no “I asked an LLM and here is what happened.” Nothing about my morning routine. No course you can buy. No newsletter with an upsell. If you want to talk back, the email below works.
